What are modeling digitals?

Modeling digitals are simple, unretouched photos that show your natural appearance for agencies to assess your potential. You'll need them as your industry calling card—they're the first thing agencies review when evaluating new talent and crucial for your portfolio, even if you're just starting out.

Modeling digitals are one of the most important tools for getting signed by a modeling agency. Whether you're submitting to a top agency or a local one, they all require clean, natural images that show your face, physique, and presence — no heavy makeup, no distractions, just great lighting and simple outfits.

While it's possible to take them on a phone, most models see better results working with a professional photographer who can guide them into the exact poses agencies want to see.

Modeling Digital FAQs

  • You’ll be working with a trusted By Brandon Andre Partner — a professional photographer who has been hand-selected and trained to shoot digitals in Brandon’s signature style. Every partner follows the same lighting, posing, and quality standards to ensure your digitals match what top agencies expect. After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details of your session, including your photographer’s contact info, so you can connect with them in advance if needed.

  • The experience and process are the same — the only difference is location and price. Brandon’s partners offer the same trusted system at a more accessible rate in cities where Brandon isn’t currently shooting. You’ll still receive the same standards, editing workflow, and guidance from Brandon’s team behind the scenes.

  • No — modeling digitals are meant to be raw and natural, exactly how agencies request them. However, you can add the “Digital Selects” option for $15 when booking. With that upgrade, Brandon will personally select the strongest images from your session and lightly enhance them (removing discoloration) for a more polished, agency-ready presentation. If you don’t choose this add-on, you’ll receive all raw, unedited images straight from the camera.

  • If you have a few temporary blemishes, it’s fine — you can wear light concealer if needed. But if you’re experiencing a major breakout, it’s best to reschedule so you can show your skin at its best. Please note: there are no refunds once your session is booked, but you may reschedule once, as long as it’s at least 24 hours in advance.

  • You’re allowed one reschedule as long as you provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Sessions canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a rebooking fee. Full details are shared in your confirmation email.

  • Raw images are typically delivered within 48–72 hours after your session. If you add Digital Selects, those will follow shortly after Brandon completes the review and enhancement process.

  • Yes. Brandon has worked closely with every major modeling agency in the world, and his digitals system is trusted across the industry. Every session — whether shot by Brandon or one of his partners — is designed to meet the exact standards agencies look for.

  • Yes — you can add a 1-on-1 coaching call with Brandon Andre when booking your session. After your shoot, you’ll meet with him over Zoom, where he’ll review your digitals, help identify the agencies that are the best fit for your look, and answer any questions you have about submitting or starting your modeling journey.

  • You'll need to update your digitals whenever there's a significant change in your appearance – haircuts, color changes, weight fluctuations, or approximately every 6-12 months. If you're actively pursuing modeling work in San Francisco, having current digitals is vital as agencies need to present clients with accurate representations of how you look right now.

  • While you could attempt self-taken digitals, agencies can immediately spot amateur photos. You'll make a stronger impression with professionally captured digitals that emphasize your features correctly. With 13+ years of fashion photography experience, we recognize exactly what agencies are looking for in the San Francisco market.

Get Agency-Ready Digitals That Create Modeling Opportunities

Working with an experienced fashion photographer makes all the difference when it's time to create your model digitals. You're not just getting photos—you're investing in images that modeling agencies actually want to see. Brandon Andre Partners bring industry knowledge directly to your session, capturing the clean, natural look that highlights your true potential without the distractions of heavy editing or unnatural poses.

Your digitals need to represent you accurately while showcasing your best features. That's why every session focuses on:

  • Professional lighting techniques that agencies prefer

  • Natural expressions that show your versatility

  • Simple compositions that put the focus entirely on you

When you're ready to submit to agencies, timing matters. You'll receive your professionally shot digitals the same day as your session, allowing you to strike while opportunities are hot. For models throughout Orlando and Central Florida, this means you can respond to agency calls instantly, without the wait times that might cause you to miss out on potential bookings.

Talent Agency Requirements for Modeling Digitals

When you're submitting to agencies, your digitals serve as your professional calling card. These aren't glamorous, retouched portfolio shots—they're straightforward, honest representations that show your natural look in clear lighting. Agencies require specific parameters: minimal makeup, simple clothing, and unfiltered images that accurately display your proportions, complexion, and features. With over 13 years in fashion photography, we've perfected the art of capturing digitals that highlight your unique attributes while meeting the stringent requirements agencies demand.

You'll need to present yourself exactly as you are—agencies are looking for versatile faces and bodies they can market to various clients. Typical requirements include head shots (front and profile), full-length shots (front, back, and profile), and sometimes specific poses that demonstrate your body proportions. Wearing form-fitting basics—tank tops, fitted t-shirts, jeans or leggings, and bathing suits for some agencies—allows scouts to assess your figure accurately. Our experience shooting for major agencies across Orlando and Florida gives us insight into exactly what decision-makers are seeking when they scan through hundreds of submissions.

Your digital submission package must be technically flawless—properly exposed, correctly white-balanced, and professionally composed. Agencies won't consider talent with shadowy, poorly lit, or overly filtered images, regardless of your potential. They're making quick decisions based on these representations, so every detail matters. We'll guide you through the entire process, from wardrobe selection to posing techniques that appear natural while meeting industry standards. After your session, you'll receive properly formatted, high-resolution images ready for immediate submission to top agencies—giving you a professional edge in this competitive industry.
