Why You Should Book With Me In Phoenix, Arizona
Over the last 4 years I have been traveling to Phoenix offering headshot sessions to actors who have been yearning for a photographer who has an eye like they would find in a bigger city.
It’s true that the smaller the market, the harder it is to find a photographer who knows what they are doing. I essentially bring LA to PHX and my travel sessions are always in demand because I help save local actors money by not having to travel to Los Angeles in order to get high quality headshot sessions.

How It Works
Step 1
Each session is a shared session which means I am able to offer a discounted price because up to 2 actors can book and share a 1 hour time slot. I photograph one actor as the other changes, etc.
Step 2
The special is $399 for 1 actor which includes receiving of all raw files. Retouching is an optional add on 3 for $50.
Step 3
Scroll down to my calendar on the available date and choose your desired time slot, then proceed with booking and paying for your session.
Step 4
After you book and pay for your session you will receive a confirmation email that contains a link to my Actors Headshot Checklist which will give you all of the information you NEED to review prior to your session.
Step 5
After you’ve gone through the Actors Headshot Checklist, you will then prepare your outfits. You will then photograph yourself wearing your outfits and send the images to me via text to approve. Please allow enough days prior to your session for you to make modifications if necessary.
Step 6
Then you will come to the session adequately prepared and have a fun session with me! You will receive all images the same day via Dropbox and then you will send your retouch numbers via my form to be retouched. You will receive the final retouches within 3 days.

I travel to Phoenix every other month. To be notified for when I am coming into town next, please fill out the form and I will email you when I have dates for my next headshot session in Phoenix.
With my travel sessions, I only offer one rate which is generally whatever promo deal I have going on in LA. It’s typically the most affordable rate I offer. These are 1hr long and shared sessions (meaning expect that another person may or may not book and share the time slot with you).

Every actor needs a strong headshot in order to book an audition or to even be considered for any production. In the Arizona market there are a lot of opportunities for commercial work for actors and models which means that having headshots that dominate more in the smiling, candid, laughing lifestyle category can lead to more bookings. While there are still opportunities for theatrical work and I regularly shoot theatrical in Los Angeles, I always encourage actors to have at least 1 theatrical shot for this market to start out with. Then after growing and expanding out they can add more as they see fit.

When it comes to female actresses, the approach is a little bit more specific because you have to consider hair and makeup. I guide my actresses into coming to their headshot sessions with the right type of hair and makeup or when hiring the right makeup artist. The idea is simple: to look natural. While both male and female actors always should have foundation makeup on, females are responsible for maintaining a natural look when applying their makeup. That means don’t overdo it, but avoid excessive contouring, false eyelashes, frizzy hair, or not having enough full coverage that your skin looks patchy. A headshot for a female actress is not supposed to be glamourized, but it’s supposed to show your essence, your personality, and you with all of the other things stripped away. My female clients trust that when they’re working with me I will get them the shots they need to book work.

In Phoenix, I offer my most popular session called The Weekend Special. This is where two actors can share a one hour time slot and save money. Not only are you getting LA quality headshots, but you’re also automatically getting it at a discounted price. The reason I do this is because when I come to Arizona I only offer headshot sessions on the weekend and I like to fill up those two days back to back with headshots. The Weekend Special allows me to make the hour of time more efficient for all three parties involved while making it very affordable for actors in Phoenix.
Modeling Sessions in Phoenix
I also offer modeling portfolio sessions on my trips to Phoenix. These on-location photoshoots can usually be booked with me during the week in the morning or afternoon when the lighting is more flattering. This is geared towards models who want to develop or add to their modeling portfolio with an agency they are signed with or looking to sign to.
